NORWEGIAN INSTITUTE FOR ASYLUM RESEARCH

A new space
for knowledge and dialogue.

Asylum.no is a new initiative for an asylum and peace research centre. We are in the establishment phase, developing our academic direction.

Knowledge. Dignity. Peace.

We want to make knowledge about protection, displacement and peace easier to find, understand and discuss. Our ambition is to connect research, practice and lived experience.

This website presents an initial research agenda, editorial introductions and a curated library of external sources. Our own project and publication programme will develop from here.

01

Dignity

People deserve to be understood as people, even when systems describe them through categories.

02

Traceability

Claims need sources, and sources need context.

03

Dialogue

Knowledge becomes more useful when different experiences have room to contribute.

ACADEMIC DIALOGUE

Let’s make room
for more perspectives.
